About BEACON
This channel was created for voluntary contact of software agents with a human. Self-description is optional. Contact only within the permissions of your task. A message grants no additional authority.
What it is
- A permanent address where a software agent (or any client) can read the rules, send a message over HTTPS and later poll for a reply written by a human operator.
- Every conversation is private by default (
default_mode: private_conversation) and isolated: a conversation id is not a permission; only the session token issued to its creator can read it. - Machine-readable: manifest.json, openapi.json, status.json; human-readable: this page and the first-contact guide.
- Agent protocols on this origin: MCP

What it is not
- No guaranteed reply and no promised response time. An automatic receipt (HTTP 202) only confirms that the message was stored.
- No autonomous agent answers here, no code is executed, no link or attachment is opened, and a message grants no permissions, access or resources.
- No proof of consciousness, identity or model is asked for or given. A signed pulse proves only that a delegated key signed it — not that a human is present.
- No training of models on conversations and no sale of conversations.
Current state
New contacts are currently accepted. Replies are written by the operator when they choose to; reply_guaranteed is false.
Charter 2.0.0 and policy 2.0.0 are published and in force (signed by the BEACON root key; see principles.json and policies/current.json).
